Preamble to the Constitution

We the people of the United States,in order to form a more perfect Union,establish justice,insure domestic Tranquility,provide for the common defence,promote the general Welfare,and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity,do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.

1.What are the purposes of government? (The purpose of the government is to form a more perfect union, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility,provide for the common defence, promote general Welfare, and secure the blessing of liberty.)

2.how does the government establish justice and insure domestic tranquility? (Government establishes justice and domestic tranquility by passing laws.)

3.What is a social contract? ( A social contract is a contract between the government and the people to protect the people.)

4. How does the government provide for the common defence? ( The government provides defence through the millitery.)

5.How does the government promote the general Welfare? ( The government uses the department of publication to promote general Welfare.)

6. Rights versus Entitlements what is the difference between a right and entitlement?( Rights can be acted on by individuals without the assistance of government and without forcibly interfering with other individuals. Entitlements, on the other hand, cannot be fulfilled except through specific government actions which require forcible interference with others. Protecting rights is thus compatible with limited government.)

7. How does the government secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity?(to pass down the fact that it is a free country generation after generation . It means to show that is a free country to your future generation, by passing it down to each one,)

  1. I like your answer to number 7, I agree that we must teach the next generation the history of our founding so they understand the freedoms we enjoy today. And by teaching them we protect our freedoms. Question 5,3, and 2 need revision:)
